# Groundrule

> Groundrule turns an organization's engineering standards into instructions for coding agents (AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, Cursor, Copilot) and deterministic checks on every change. Teams adopt rules from a catalog of packs, import the rules they already have from repositories, documents and pull-request reviews, review them in an inbox, and roll each rule out in stages: Observe, Teach, Advise, Enforce.

Groundrule is in private early access. The open-source kernel (rule format, CLI, checks, packs, MCP server) is Apache-2.0 at github.com/Metricall-AI-Lab/groundrule-oss; the hosted platform is app.groundrule.dev. AI features always produce proposals that a person accepts, labelled AI with a confidence. Every page is also served as Markdown at its path with a .md suffix.
